Privacy Policy
Introduction
AMC Prep (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use amcprep.com.au and related services.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or a similar jurisdiction, we process personal data in line with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where it applies. For Australian users, we also aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Who Is Responsible
AMC Prep operates this website. For privacy requests, contact us via the Contact page.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you submit a form on this site, we may collect:
- Early access waitlist: first name and email address
- AHPRA CV template lead magnet: first name, last name, email address, optional phone number (with country dial code), speciality, and whether you have passed AMC Part 1
- Contact / enquiry forms: name, email, and message content
We only process these details when you choose to submit them, and (for email lists) after you tick an unticked consent checkbox linking to this policy.
Information collected automatically
- Approximate location: when you submit a lead form, our hosting provider (Vercel) may expose country and region derived from your IP address. We may store these as contact attributes (e.g. country/region) to understand audience geography.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, approximate traffic patterns, browser/device type, and similar technical data via cookies or similar technologies used for analytics (see Cookies below).
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Send the resource or update you requested (e.g. AHPRA CV template email, early access updates)
- Send related emails about AMC Prep products, content, and services, where you have consented
- Respond to enquiries and provide support
- Improve the website, content, and user experience
- Understand how the site is used (analytics)
- Comply with legal obligations where applicable
We do not sell your personal information.
Lawful Bases (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we typically rely on:
- Consent — for marketing emails
- Legitimate interests / steps at your request — to deliver a download or resource you asked for, secure the site, operate essential functionality, and understand how the site is used (analytics)
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information by law
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe links in emails, or by contacting us).
Email and Brevo
We use Brevo (Sendinblue) to store contacts and send emails. When you join a list, your details are added to the relevant Brevo list and may trigger an automated email (for example, with a link to download the AHPRA CV template).
Brevo acts as a data processor for this purpose. Brevo may process data in the EU and other locations under its own terms and safeguards. Review Brevo’s privacy documentation for details, and ensure a data processing arrangement is in place on our Brevo account.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails, or contact us to request deletion.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use:
- Essential cookies / local storage — required for basic site functions (e.g. remembering theme preference, storing that you dismissed the analytics notice)
- Analytics — Vercel Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and (on production) Google Tag Manager and related tags such as Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. These load when you visit the site so we can see which pages help IMGs. They are not used to serve ads on this site.
You can limit some of this in your browser (for example by blocking third-party cookies or using a tracking-prevention setting). You can also contact us via the Contact page.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services that process data on our behalf, including:
- Vercel — hosting and related infrastructure
- Brevo — email and contact management
- Google Tag Manager / analytics tags (including Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity on production)
- Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and, where required, as processors for us.
Data Retention
We keep lead and contact data for as long as needed to provide the service you requested, run our email programmes (while you remain subscribed), and meet legal or accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete your data subject to legal limits.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent (without affecting prior lawful processing)
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for example, in your EU/UK member state)
To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page.
International Transfers
Our site is hosted with providers that may process data outside your country (including Australia, the EU, and the US). Where GDPR applies, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers as required by law and our providers’ terms.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with a “Last updated” date. Material changes will apply from the date of posting.
